Bag Scooper R&D Representatives Test Handled Dog Waste Bags in Snow

Picking up poop in the snow can be tricky. In fresh powder snow, we recommend grabbing plenty of the surrounding snow with the poop. Doing this keeps from leaving “brown snow”, keeps you from feeling the warm poop against your hand, and reduces the poop smell until you get to a trash bin.

We did not use the actual Bag Scooper scooper since we were dealing with individual poop pick ups this trip.

We did benefit from using our larger handled plastic bags in the snow. Our larger handled bags offered plenty of room to take in snow and poop without getting poop on our hands. Being in the cold, we were wearing gloves and did not have to take them off because our larger plastic bag offered plenty of plastic. The long handles made it easy to tie the bag in a knot with gloves on.

It was not all work for the Bag Scooper team! A surprise snow storm hit Mammoth Lakes, California so that called for a road trip for one last romp in the fresh snow.
